Teeth

Not sure how I forgot but in the last month or so Lucas has gotten 3 molars. He has not been a happy camper during this process and of course they have come in one at a time. Poor little guy. In total he has 11 teeth and is not afraid to use them. So if you really wanna feel them do so at your own risk!

Been a while

Well it has been a while since I updated. so here it goes,
We sold our house, bought a new & bigger one, successfully moved and have even started unpacking (YUCK!) I have decided that moving is not fun, and even less fun when your six months pregnant. Once I get my butt in gear and get some of the rooms organized I'll take pictures. So far Lucas' room is the only room completely paint and just has a few minor details left until it is complete. The kitchen is organized but not personalized yet, that will come later. We've got priorities like the nursery! Everything else is still a pretty big mess aka not unpacked or even in the right room. If I only had more energy maybe I could get it done faster. As long as it is in decent shape by July I'll be happy. Can't bring the baby home to a messy house.

Well I was behind on the birthday pics but I'm ahead of the game for Easter pics! Even though I did cheat and get them done the same day.

I must add that I love Portrait Innovations. They always get great shots of Lucas.

First Birthday Pictures

Finally I got around to taking Lucas to have his first birthday pictures taken. Here are just a few.

It's a.....

GIRL! Finally after a failed attempt to determine what the gender of baby #2 is we not only discovered that it is a girl, but a stubborn on at that. According to the doctor she looks healthy and is growing great. Ultrasound tech claims she is the most stubborn baby she has seen in awhile. Oh, no is this a glimpse of her personality after birth?

1 Year stats

Lucas had his 1 year doctors appointment and weighed in a 22lb 2oz giving him a total weight gain of 14lb 3oz in the last year. He was 30 1/4 inches which means he has grown 10 1/4 inches since birth.
But the day was not easy on our poor little man. He got three shots and had to have blood drawn. He was a trooper and did okay, only a little screaming when I had to hold him down.

Just an update

Lucas is still growing by leaps and bounds. He no longer crawls, just walks everywhere!

Gonna Be ......

A BIG BROTHER!
Yes you read that right, Lucas is going to be a big brother.
We are happy to announce that Baby #2 is on the way and due July 23, 2009.
The two will be just under 18 months apart and a handful at times but worth it in the end.
It is hard to imaging loving another baby as much as we love our little man, but knowing that day by day our love for Lucas grow I am confident we will love this one too.
Someday I think we are crazy but everyday I know we are blessed.

First Christmas

Wow, Christmas was a busy two days, but worth it in the end. We got to spend time with a lot of family. Lucas got a TON of toy's, clothes, and even some new cloth diapers. (I'm so glad to have more diapers!!) He did not show much interest in opening the gift but sure liked to play with the toys!

Way Behind

I have had so much going on with the holiday's that I have neglected to update on all of Lucas' new trick. He are a few of the highlights.

• Lucas officially prefers to walk rather than crawl.

• He has 6 teeth and a 7th is very close to joining the rest.

• He is a bit of a monkey and has learned to climb into and over boxes

I'm sure there is more and I will update as I remember.

4 & 5

Tooth 4 & 5 have made an appearance! 4 is his top right center tooth and tooth 5 is next to where his left center should be. In all Lucas is sporting 3 bottom teeth and 2 top teeth. He Looks pretty silly with the a top left center tooth missing but it looks like it is just below the surface. Maybe in the next week it will come in.

Baby Steps

Yes that is right our lil man has taken his first steps. He started out with one or two at a time but just the other day took 7 in a row! He is getting brave and has started to let go of the furniture to try to walk all on his own. He has gotten many bumps and bruises along the way but maybe in a few weeks he will be a pro? According to his Gram he takes after Auntie C, she was always hurting herself.

Another....

Tooth! Lucas now has 3 teeth, all on the bottom. We thought he was getting his top front teeth and all of a sudden there was a third tooth on bottom!

Then & Now

Lucas is now 9 months old and so much has changed.

Then he was 7lbs 15oz
Now he is 21lbs 3oz
Then he was 20 inches
Now he is 28 inches
Then he worn Newborn clothing
Now he wear 12 month clothing

Then he slept most of the day.
Now he won't sit still.

He is crawling cruising and generally moving everywhere! He loves his finger foods & is getting better and better at using a sippy cup.

Visiting Auntie C

Lucas and I flew to Omaha to visit Christen for a few days. We left on Saturday October 18 and came home early Tuesday October 21. I was a bit nervous flying with Lucas by myself, actually I was just nervous about flying. Lucas did great, he slept the majority of the 1hr we were on the plane both to and from Omaha. While in Omaha we went to the park and to the Zoo. I was so mad because I forgot the camera when we went to the Zoo and there were so many neat things to see. Well here are a few of my favorite pictures from our trip.
